The checkers are square and round wood pieces for easy tactile identification. The chess pieces are distinguished by their flat or rounded tops. A dowel on the bottom of each chess piece fits into corresponding holes on the board. The set includes one plastic board. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 12 x 12 inches. COLOR: The square checkers are black and the round are red. The squares on the board are black and white.
