Picture of EVAPORATIVE COOLING HAT The Evaporative Cooling Hat is a body cooling system designed for wear by individuals with neurological disabilities. This baseball-style hat uses a patented Hydroweave system that uses the suns energy to cause evaporation that draws heat away from the head. The hat is charged by running it under cool water; after excess water is wrung out, the hat keeps the wearer's head up to 30 degrees cooler than the outside air temperature. The Hydroweave system combines hydrophilic (water-attracting) and hydrophobic (water-rejecting) fibers in a three-layer fabric that conducts body heat upwards, while retaining the cool water and releasing it slowly through evaporation; while the middle layer holds onto water, an inner lining that cannot be permeated by water keeps the head cool and dry. The hat is made of a cotton and polyfiber blend with an adjustable hook-and-loop back. SIZES: One size fits most. DIMENSIONS (HxWxD): 4.5 x 7 x 10 inches. WEIGHT: 2 ounces. COLOR: Available in navy or khaki.

Notes: Hydroweave is a registered trademark. ** Shipping and handling charges are not included in the purchase price listed.

Price: 24.95.
