(Verified 10/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Micro-LADS (Microcomputer Language Assessment and Development System)Module 1 is a language tutorial and vocabulary enhancement program designed to train comprehension of grammatical constructions and improve expressive language abilities while encouraging independent learning for individuals with developmental, physical, visual, hearing or language learning disabilities. Micro-LADS Module 1 covers plurals and noun-verb agreement. Students are presented with two pictures, with optional speech and/or text, and asked to select the picture which represents the correct construction. Scan speed, response time, and criterion for ending the lesson can be adjusted, and animation can be turned on or off. A lesson summary and test performance results can be viewed on-screen or printed. COMPATIBILITY: For use with Macintosh and IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The version for IBM and compatible computers requires a Pentium 133 megaHertz (MHz) or faster processor; a hard drive with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, or later; 16 megabytes (MB) RAM; a Windows- compatible sound card; and a 4x speed CD drive. The Macintosh version requires a 68040 processor or PowerPC; System 7.5 or later; 8 MB application RAM; and a 4x speed CD-ROM.
