(Verified 06/2007) retained in database for reference. --- The Amigo eXcite is a powered wheelchair designed for indoor or outdoor use by individuals with lower extremity, mobility, neurological, or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. FRAME (HxLxW): 36.8 x 36.8 x 24.1 inches. The chair has a steel frame with a one piece platform painted either cinnamon red or scuba blue, and a black rear safety bumper. The turning radius is 21 inches and the underbody ground clearance is 3.3 inches. CONTROLS: Penny & Giles controls, with an ASIC MPC electronic controller and an adjustable fingertip control joystick. FWD: Dual Vari-Speed drive system with no belts or chains. RWD: Dual Vari-Speed drive system with no belts or chains. SEAT: Seat has 180-degree seat rotation with seat lock. A headrest, tilt-in-space feature, and power seat lift are optional. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, adjustable, removable arms. BRAKES: Electromagnetic brakes with manual release. CASTERS: 6-inch solid front tires. WHEELS: 10.5-inch foam filled rear tires with stability wheels. FOOTRESTS: Adjustable Foot Support can be positioned in a variety of horizontal, vertical and angular positions. Swing-away leg rests are optional. POWER: Uses two 26-amp batteries (not included) in 24-volt electrical system. A 24-volt onboard battery charger with alternating current (AC) cord is included. SPEEDS: From 0 to 4.5 miles per hour for a range of 25 miles. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. WEIGHT: 156 pounds with batteries. WARRANTY: Limited lifetime warranty.
