--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 4/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Topics To Learn Communication (TLC) is a Minspeak Application Program (MAP) and a vocabulary tutorial and communicator training program designed to help young children make the transition to larger sized communicators for individuals with a cognitive or speech disability. TLC was developed to meet the needs of children who want to use Interaction, Education & Play+, IEP+ (see separate entry), but cannot yet access a 128 location overlay. TLC addresses the need for continity of vocabulary and symbols when making the transition from one size overlay to another. Thus, a child can begin with the eight location version, transition to the 32-location overlay and progress to the 128 location IEP+ using similar icons, icon sequences and vocabulary.

Notes: See also other entries for Minspeak Application Programs under various brandnames.
