------- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Padded extension to one side of a wheelchair seat to allow the stump of an above-knee amputee to be elevated and remain in extension. Instructions for building a board to fit between the wheelchair and its cushion with retractable shelves that can accommodate either a left or right amputee; and a foam pad with strips of velfoam which attaches to pieces of velcro on the shelf.
