Picture of TRACKERPAL TrackerPAL is a wandering patient system designed for use with individuals with Alzheimer's disease, autism Wandering, or dementia. This device has fully active global positioning (GPS) and interactive voice capability. The system covers virtually all of the United States and Canada and is monitored through a monitoring center. All voice communications with family members and the individual monitored are recorded and are kept in a WAV file for future use if needed. This system an be programmed over the air with new features and software upgrades and can store virtually an unlimited number of track points should it ever leave the coverage area. The device has an Internet interface for tracking and fully-interactive two-way voice capability, the monitoring center, enabling family members, caregivers, and the individual being monitored to communicate simultaneously anywhere in the United States or Canada. The system can also make geo (electronic) fences out of circles, rectangles, and oblong angles. The system includes full 24-hour/seven-day live monitoring by an in-house center. The individual can call the monitoring center from the TrackerPal with a push of a single button. A built-in siren can be sounded if attention for any reason is needed by the user. A tamper-resistant strap with Kevlar braiding, steel cable, and fiber optics provide a triple set of tamper protections. The pliable strap can be covered in a comfortable material. The device works on all cellular carriers, simultaneously and all digital carriers, GSM/ GPRS. The system offers virtually instant notification of wandering events by the Monitoring center (about 15 seconds), along with multiple automated notifications to selected individuals. Tracking is fully-programmable and can be set in real time or changed to every few seconds, to minutes, or hours. The device is water resistant/proof to 15 feet. A powerful GIS database. is included. POWER: Uses replaceable Li-ion batteries (two included) for 27 hours of use and one internal 4 hour battery. The device comes with a vehicle power adapter for charging the batteries. The battery charger doubles as a "Perimeter Alert" unit that plugs into the phone line and can be set for different distances. OPTIONS: The device can be upgraded with a wrist watch communication device for discrete communications. A "family" mobilePal cellular device can be added for instant communications from the monitoring center to a family member or caregiver. DIMENSIONS: 3.5 X 2.0 X 1.5 inches.
