(Verified 07/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- WriteAssist is a word prediction program designed for use by individuals with dyslexia or learning disabilities. The product package includes Integrated WriteAssist and Universal WriteAssist. Integrated WriteAssist is a stand-alone word-processing program which facilitates correct spelling and grammar with word suggestions and spell check. It includes voice output for word suggestions. Universal WriteAssist works in conjunction with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Notepad, WordPad, and ICQ by providing word suggestions and spell check. All menus, messages, and buttons function by voice command. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and IBM-compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or newer operating system, 100 megaHertz (MHz) Pentium processor, CD-ROM drive, 64 megabytes (MB) RAM, Windows-supported sound card, and 50 MB of available hard drive space. For Universal WriteAssist, Windows 98 or newer is recommended, as Outlook Express is not supported by Universal WriteAssist in Windows 95.
