RESNA 2013 Annual Conference
June 20, 2013 to June 24, 2013 in Bellevue, Washington
Designed by and for people passionate about the use of assistive technology to improve the health and well-being of people with disabilities, RESNA 2013 offers educational sessions, scientific paper sessions, posters, three plenary sessions with internationally-recognized speakers, and a large exhibit hall. Mixed in are dozens of meetings of committees, SIGs (shared interest groups) and PSGs (professional specialty groups).

2013 Get Fit! Get Moving! Fitness Fair
June 22, 2013 in Berkeley, California
AXIS Dance Company, an ensemble of performers with and without disabilities, will collaborate with the Bay Area Outreach Recreation Program (BORP) to hold the Get Fit Get Moving Fitness Fair. The Fair is intended for youth, adults, and seniors of all abilities. Participants will learn about fun options to start or increase a healthy lifestyle from teachers and leaders in adaptive fitness and recreation. Activities will range from adaptive yoga and tai chi to adaptive cycling demonstrations and dance classes. Healthy refreshments, information booths, prizes, and a special performance by the Axis Dance Company will offered.

2013 Get in Motion Dance Camp
July 15, 2013 to July 19, 2013 in Berkeley, California
AXIS Dance Company, an ensemble of performers with and without disabilities, will collaborate with the Bay Area Outreach Recreation Program (BORP) to hold the Get in Motion Dance Camp. The camp is intended for youth ages 13 through 19. Guided and taught by company members and teaching artists, the dance workshops are intended to interweave body and mind and activate the physical imagination. Classes will include warm-up, group awareness, and exploration to engage and enrich the creative process. Participants will be encouraged to create their own unique movement vocabulary as well as collaborative construction of dances.

2013 International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology

2013 Closing The Gap: 31st Annual Conference

Disabilities Studies Conference
October 31, 2013 to November 1, 2013 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Students for Disability Advocacy, a student group at the University of Pittsburgh whose mission is to advocate for students with disabilities, will be holding a disability studies conference to highlight research concerning the disability experience. The conference will include student researchers and faculty respondents. A variety of submissions will be accepted from students with and without disabilities at the University of Pittsburgh and around the country. Panel presentations will draw from a variety of disciplines including: Assistive Technology across disability, Health and Wellness (disparities), Employment, Policy, Education, History, Philosophy, and English. A faculty-student round-table discussion is the final event of the conference with discourse concerning relationships between faculty and students with disabilities. Limited scholarships for travel may be available and food will be available free at the conference.

2013 AUCD Annual Meeting and Conference

2013 Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) Conference
