Alphabets Cursive Upper Case is a pre-reading tutorial and writing skills training program designed for use by parents or teachers working with children with developmental disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Android device to teach a child to recognize cursive uppercase letters. The app has three sections: training, trial, and reinforcement. Pictures of cursive uppercase letters along with audio prompts are shown one by one on the screen in the training section. In the trial section, four pictures of cursive uppercase letters are displayed together on the screen and the child is asked to select the picture of cursive uppercase letter stated in the text (in block print) and audio prompt. The child is reinforced with a cheerful animation for each correct response. After the child answers the final question, a score screen appears, followed by another animation. The app is a part of the Shanesh COLORS app series designed for kids on the autism spectrum. It is based on the discrete trial part of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). COMPATIBILITY: For use with an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android device. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.0 or later; Android 2.2 or later.
