The Liftware Level Starter Kit is designed to help users eat. The leveling handle is designed to accommodate limited hand and arm mobility related to cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, Huntington's disease, or post-stroke deficits. The handle includes built-in sensors, a computer, and motors. The soup spoon attachments connects to the stabilizing handle, holds about 1 tablespoon of liquid, and can pick up food such as soups, cereals, and other liquids.
The device uses electronic motion-stabilizing technology to keep the utensil level regardless of the user's movement. The leveling handle contains sensors that detect changes from the intended movement of the hand in 3 dimensions. To level the utensil, the computer directs two motors in the handle to bend the flexible gray joint, keeping the attachment at the right angle.

Rechargeable battery: Yes, up to one hour (3 meals) on a single charge.
